Q.Can my student loans be discharged in Chapter 7?

A.In most cases, student loans cannot be discharged in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. However, if the student loans have been due and owing for more than 7 years and if the debtor can show "undue hardship", the court may discharge the debt.
