Q.How can I stop a debt collector from calling me at work?

A.A debt collector may not contact a debtor at his or her place of employment if it is known that the employer prohibits the employee from receiving such communications. This provision allows the debtor to inform the debt collector that their employer forbids incoming personal calls and requires the debt collector to respect such a notice.
