Q.Who owns the copyright?

A.A copyright is owned by the individual or entity that authored or created of the work, unless: (1) the work was a work made for hire or (2) the author created the work while employed by another. For example, the photographer who took the photograph, the graphic artist who created the graphic image, the software programmer who wrote the code, the writer who wrote the book, the artist who painted the painting, or the composer who wrote the melody. In the case of a "work made for hire", the employer for whom the work was made during and within the scope of employment is the initial owner.
