Q.Can a worker refuse a job offer and still collect unemployment insurance benefits?

A.The answer depends on why the worker refused the job offer. In most cases you will still be able to collect your Unemployment Insurance benefits if you refuse a job because the wages or conditions of the new job are below those of your previous employment. However if you can't prove you are actively seeking and available for work, the unemployment office may terminate your benefits.
