Q.If am employee fails to submit a timecard, can the employer delay paying the employee his or her wage?

A.No. An employer is obligated to pay the employee on the established payday regardless of whether or not the employee submitted a timecard. There are no exceptions. The employer must pay all of the wages it reasonably knows are due for the employee's regularly scheduled work period.
