Q.If I move, is my living will or advanced health care directive valid in another state?

A.While all states recognize advance health care directives, the state laws pertaining to living wills and advanced health care directives differ. We therefore suggest that if you move or spend a considerable amount of time in another state (e.g. vacation home), that you execute a new living will and advance health care directive in that state too.
