Q.Can I use my security deposit to pay my last month's rent?

A.Typically no, but the answer depends on the language in your rental agreement or lease. If your agreement says, you paid the first month's rent, last month's rent and a security deposit, then you have already paid the last month's rent when you moved in and owe nothing.

If, on the other hand, your lease says you paid the first month's rent and a security deposit equal to the first month's rent, then you must pay the last month's rent.
