Q.Can my estate avoid having to an executor fee?

A.Although you can draft a will that denies or limits the compensation to be paid to your executor, most people other than immediate family members and beneficiaries are not willing to take on the role and responsibilities of executor without being paid. If your will winds up necessitating a professional executor (your named executors are either unwilling or unable to serve) they will refuse to serve unless they are compensated. If you opt to deny compensation to your named executors, you should consider allowing for the payment of executor fees to professional executors.
