Q.What are the Successor Trustee’s duties?

A.The named Successor Trustee will be responsible for inventorying and appraising the trust’s assets, the managing the estate, paying of any debts and taxes owed until such time as all creditors’ claims are satisfied, and distributing the remaining trust assets as directed to by the trust document. There are no court proceedings necessary for the Successor Trustee to carry out his or her duties.
