Q.What is a Will?

A.A Will is a legal document that upon your death tells everyone who will manage your estate (be the Executor), who will get your property (Beneficiaries), and who will look after your minor children (Guardian). It is a very important document for almost everyone.

If you do not have a Will, or if your Will was prepared improperly, the laws of the state in which you live will decide who will be the Executor, who will get your property, and who will take care of your minor children. ("Intestate Succession").

Unfortunately what can be a very simple document can be quite complex and challenging because if you forget to do something, fail to sign your Will correctly, fail to date it properly, fail to have it witnessed properly, or even fail to type it properly the probate court can toss out your Will and distribute your property by intestate succession.
